I’d highly recommend taking your PARE/COPAT/etc tests at Blue Line. Running my PARE with Phil was a great experience! Phil was a great motivator, and absolutely knew what he was doing. As long as you’re in good shape and will listen to the instructors cues, tips, and commands, you’ll pass your test. You’ll start running your test about an hour or an hour and a half into the allotted time window, so bring a light, high-carb snack for before you run (especially if your last name is towards the end of the alphabet). Overall a great experience, I plan on running all future fitness tests here.

I have had the pleasure of completing two PARE evaluations in the past two years at Blueline as required by my employer. I have been totally impressed with the testing facility and the process of testing. Both Nikki and Phil provide exceptional and clear instructions prior to and during testing. Both also have a passionate attitude and encourage all participants to accel during the tests. Excellent feedback post testing is also top notch!

I am not the type of person to leave reviews especially any negative, but the Ma’am over the phone was condescending. The situation was that I needed a refund on the study guide because of some desperate personal reasons, She refused to hear me out or be understanding. I really hope that no one else has to experience that sort of customer service. I called the same day during your business hours to sort it out but nobody answered the call, and I just looked over the invoice I got in my email, there is nothing in it regarding refunds, that is why I called.

My experience at Blue Line Fitness was amazing! If you are unsure about your fitness level, just book a fitness session with Phil ,he is a great fitness trainer. I hadn’t been to a gym or focused on physical fitness for over six years. At first, I was completely drained within 10-15 minutes while running . But after taking just three sessions, it took me less than a month to pass my PARE exam. With his tips, guidance, and strategies to improve myself, I was able to pass on my first attempt. Nikki is also such a amazing personality ,she motivates you and truly does her best to make sure you pass the course. She corrects you right away if you are going too fast or too slow, making sure you stay on track. I am really thankful to both Phill and Nikki !they made a huge difference in my journey. If you are lucky as me you might get a pare cough for free:)

This is going to be fairly lengthy sorry about that but I have only good to say about blue line fitness. I started my journey trying to pass the PARE test in March 29, 2025. I ended up with a little over a six minute time. This made me so disappointed I was thoroughly disgusted. WTH. I’ve been working out usually 20 minute bike rides runs swimming, dumbbell weights, and stretches. Also doing a flight of 30 stairs near an outdoor centre where I live. Also, I’ve been making a commitment with staying away from junk foods, burgers, fries, alcohol, and getting into fruits vegetables and usually 30 minute walks every night, but alas, it was not to be for now. It was obvious I needed to do more work on this to pass the PARE test. Then came Phil Moreau Blue Line Fitness Trainer. Phil was very patient and professional and helped me with his wealth of knowledge to build on a consistent habit of getting out and doing more interval training. This all paid off immensely, although it took four more tries to get it done. I wish all the best to fill as he is one of the finest trainers I have ever come across. And to Nikki for your patience with my Stone Age computer skills. You guys are the best love you God bless .

When the System Fails You: Chelsea Brown on Surviv When the System Fails You: Chelsea Brown on Survival, Violence & Change

What happens when surviving isn’t enough?
Chelsea Brown knows what it means to fight your way out of hell.

Her story includes addiction, incarceration, homelessness, an abusive relationship, systemic failures—and a whole lot of reasons to stay quiet.
She didn’t.
Chelsea turned her trauma into Warriors Way Forward, a movement fighting for survivors while challenging the systems that are supposed to protect them.

In this episode, we go deep into the reality of domestic violence, coercive control, technology being weaponized against victims, the gaps survivors face when they reach out for help—and why first responders need to understand what’s happening before they ever arrive at the door.

This conversation gets uncomfortable. It gets real. And it gets VERY personal.

We talk survival. We talk accountability. We talk what needs to change—and why Chelsea isn’t interested in waiting for someone else to fix it.
This isn’t a story about being rescued. It’s a story about becoming the warrior.

🚨 SHE PASSED THE PARE… NOW SHE’S HERE TO ROAST IT. 🚨 SHE PASSED THE PARE… NOW SHE’S HERE TO ROAST IT. 😂

Part 3: The brutally honest review of the PARE — according to a 13-year-old who just ran the damn thing.

Jocelyn is 13.
She weighs 82 lbs.
She made the jumps look like a bunny obstacle course. 🐰💨
She nearly broke up with the push/pull machine. 😂
And somehow…

SHE PASSED. 👏🔥

But passing the test wasn’t enough.

We needed to know what she REALLY thought.

So we added the weighted bag, turned the camera on, and gave her the microphone.

🎤 “So… Jocelyn. What did you think of the PARE?”

Her answer?

Let’s just say… she had THOUGHTS. 😂

The hardest part?
The easiest part?
Would she do it again?
And most importantly…

Does she think YOU could pass it? 👀

👇 WATCH TO THE END for her completely unfiltered 13-year-old PARE review.

And if you’re preparing for your own PARE, COPAT, APREP or other first responder fitness test…

Maybe don’t let a 13-year-old show you up. 😂🔥

Come train with us at Blue Line and let’s get you across that finish line. 👊

September Hiring Season Is Here. Will You Be Ready September Hiring Season Is Here. Will You Be Ready?

September is one of the busiest recruitment periods of the year for law enforcement agencies. New job postings are opening, applications are rolling in, and thousands of people are taking the first step toward a career in policing, sheriffs, corrections, and peace officer positions.

For many applicants, the first hurdle is the fitness test. Whether you're preparing for the PARE or the COPAT, these tests are designed to evaluate whether you're physically ready for the demands of the job. They're challenging, and every testing day reminds us of one important fact:

**A surprising number of candidates don't pass on their first attempt.**

It's rarely because they aren't capable. More often, it's because they underestimated the test.

We see the same mistakes over and over:

* Showing up without ever practicing the course.
* Having the strength but lacking the cardiovascular endurance.
* Losing valuable seconds during transitions.
* Assuming that being "generally fit" is enough.

The good news? Every one of these issues can be improved with the right preparation.

The candidates who consistently succeed aren't necessarily the strongest athletes—they're the ones who train specifically for the test. They understand the course, practice the obstacles, improve their pacing, and build the confidence that only comes from repetition.

Starting your training now means you'll be ready when that job posting turns into an interview and a test date. Instead of scrambling to prepare in a few short weeks, you'll walk into your fitness test knowing exactly what to expect.

At Blue Line Fitness Testing, we offer training for both the PARE and COPAT using the same equipment and obstacles you'll encounter on test day. Our coaches will help you improve your technique, build your fitness, and eliminate the guesswork so you can give yourself the best possible chance of passing on your first attempt.

Your dream career starts long before test day.

It starts with the decision to prepare today.

🔥 THE GIRLS WON TODAY. JUST SAYING. 🔥 Today’s test 🔥 THE GIRLS WON TODAY. JUST SAYING. 🔥
Today’s testing group gave us a little plot twist…

The women had the better results than the men. 👀💅🏼

And honestly? We’re not mad about it. 😂🔥

But while we’re talking about impressive performances, we HAVE to give a huge shoutout to ERIN! 👏🏼

Erin has been training with us since JUNE. She put in the work, took the coaching, kept showing up and trusted the process.

And today?

💥 SHE ACED HER PARE. 💥

That’s not luck.
That’s not a fluke.
That’s WORK.
Check out her practice test sheet and her official test sheet!!

Erin—we are SO freaking proud of you! 🫶🏼🔥 You earned that result!

And this is exactly why the Blue Line approach works. We don’t just hand you a PARE and say, “Good luck!” 😂

We get to know YOU. We identify where you need to improve. We coach your technique. We push you when you need pushing.
We build your confidence. And we make sure you understand exactly what you’re walking into on test day. Because fitness testing is what we do. It’s what we know.

And let’s be honest… There’s a reason we’re the OG testing facility in Alberta. 🫡

We’ve been doing this. We know these tests. We know what applicants struggle with. And we know how to help you get better.

Today the women raised the bar.
The men can try to catch up next time. 😉😂

🏆 Blue Line Fitness Testing — The OG. The experts. The best there is.

Ready to put yourself to the test?

This episode of Sirens, Slammers and Service gets into the uncomfortable—and incredibly important—side of first responder training, workplace safety, and leadership with Michele Allard, Director of Operations at Western Canada Fire and First Aid and Executive Director of Saga Universal Training. 🚒🔥

Michele takes us through an unexpected career journey that led from health and safety, to training and then firefighting, including some seriously high-stakes moments where standing your ground wasn’t optional.

We talk about what it means to be a real safety professional, why speaking up can make you unpopular, the difference between leadership and people-pleasing, and how the right team can help you push through even the biggest barriers.

And there are some stories you absolutely won’t see coming—including a situation where Michele had to make a call that could have changed everything.

Raw, honest, funny, and packed with lessons for anyone working in public safety, emergency services, or occupational health and safety.

🐰 PART TWO: THE LITTLE BUNNY JUST RAN THE PARE! 🔥 🐰 PART TWO: THE LITTLE BUNNY JUST RAN THE PARE! 🔥

Okay… we knew Jocelyn was going to give it a shot, but watching her actually run the FULL PARE COURSE was something else. 😂

The jumps?
Like a little freaking bunny. 🐰💨

She flew over those obstacles and made parts of the course look WAY too easy. 😂

Then came the push/pull portion of the push-pull machine… and this is where things got REAL.

You can literally see the moment she starts thinking, “Yeah… I’m done.” 😩

But she didn’t quit.

She dug in, kept pulling, pushed through the discomfort and finished what she started. 👊

And then…

🎉 SHE PASSED! 🎉

At 13 years old and 82 pounds, she just showed us something that has absolutely nothing to do with size:

Perseverance matters.

The test is supposed to challenge you. You’re going to have moments where you want to stop. The goal isn’t to never struggle — it’s to learn how to keep going when you do.

And believe me… Part Three is going to be GOOD. 👀

We’re adding the weighted bag, AND Jocelyn is giving us her honest feedback about what she thought of the PARE. 😂

Was it as hard as she expected?
What was the hardest part?
Would she do it again?

👇 STAY TUNED FOR PART THREE!

#BlueLineFitnessTesting #PARE #PARETest #LawEnforcementFitness #PoliceFitness
PART ONE: Meet the youngest PARE candidate we’ve e PART ONE: Meet the youngest PARE candidate we’ve ever had. 😂🔥

Meet my 13-year-old daughter — 82 pounds of questionable wardrobe choices, determination, and apparently zero concern about what she looks like while running a PARE. 😂

We decided it was time to let her experience what so many of our clients train for. And yes… before anyone asks, we adjusted the PARE weight based on her 82-lb body weight so she could safely experience the demands of the test.

This isn’t about making her “prove” anything.

It’s about letting her see what it feels like to push herself, navigate obstacles, get uncomfortable, and discover what she’s capable of.

And honestly… watching her take this on at 13 was pretty damn cool. 👊🔥

But THIS video is just the introduction.

Part TWO is where it gets real. 😳

She runs the actual test — and you’re going to want to see how she handles it.

👇 STAY TUNED FOR PART TWO!

And if you’re preparing for your own PARE, COPAT, POPAT or APREP… maybe take a lesson from a 13-year-old:

You don’t have to be the biggest or strongest person in the room. You just have to be willing to push yourself.
